Welcome a new family member with your loved ones

A naming ceremony is the perfect opportunity to celebrate a new member of the family with your loved ones. This can be a moment to acknowledge and welcome a new baby or adopted child.

You can include parents, siblings, grand-parents and other significant people who will play a role in your child's life.

We can include rituals such as a candle lighting, sand ceremony or handprint activity, which make great keepsakes and photo opportunities for the day.

Family is the most important thing to me

I would be honoured to help you celebrate such a happy occasion by welcoming a new addition to your family with a naming ceremony. This could take place at a venue that is special to you, indoors, outdoors or even at your home.

If you or other significant people want to make promises or wishes for your little one, I can help you write these or choose readings or rituals to mark this joyful moment.

I love creating beautiful ceremonies for families, with thoughtful and meaningful touches.

I have so many happy memories of milestone events with my own family, and I'd love to support you with your occasion.

When I'm not writing or hosting ceremonies you may find me trying out a new Mary Berry recipe in the kitchen or attempting to grow things in my garden (work in progress!).

I love getting out in the Sussex countryside, or venturing further afield (especially if there is cheese or wine involved!). I also enjoy going to live sports events or shouting at my team on TV!

Bespoke Naming Ceremony Service from £450

    First we'll meet for a no-obligation consultation in person or via video call, to check available dates and to run through how we can work together.

    We'll meet again, in person or via video call to talk through the type of ceremony you want me to create for you. Don't worry, I won't need everything decided at once, we can meet/speak several times as I guide you on the possibilities of your child's naming ceremony.

    I'll ask you to complete a questionnaire to gain further insight into your family and the child we are celebrating. This provides me with the foundations to create your unique ceremony.

    I will write your ceremony, making any changes along the way until you are satisfied with the script. This can include a symbolic element eg unity candle, sand blending ceremony*.

    I can support you in writing promises or wishes for your child. You can read these on the day or I am happy to deliver the words for you.

    I will be in touch with venue supplier and photographer if applicable, to ensure plans for the occasion.

    On the day of the ceremony I will be there in good time to meet you and your guests, ready to officiate your ceremony.

    You will get a copy of your Naming Ceremony script from the day.
