Whether it's celebrating the joy of your wedding day, the arrival of a new family member or giving a loved-one a fitting farewell, I will listen to your stories and create a bespoke ceremony to capture the occasion and make unforgettable memories.

Hi, I'm Jen

I'm an Independent Celebrant who loves working with couples and families to create beautiful ceremonies with standout moments.

Professionally, my background has always been about the beauty and significance of words.
After a twenty-year career in education and publishing, I've honed my skills in the written and spoken word, as well as developing my experience of speaking in front of an audience. Travelling, living and working abroad has given me a deep love and appreciation for other cultures, languages, and of course, food!

In my downtime you'll find me exploring the Sussex countryside, or venturing further afield.

I am a passionate sports fan, which I think leads into my enthusiasm for being part of once-in-a-lifetime milestone occasions. I also love enjoying the creativity of others, watching a show at the theatre or reading a great book. Let's swap recommendations!

Together we can include traditional touches, blend cultures, honour heritage or create something completely different and authentically you. Maybe you'd like part of your ceremony in another language to include family and friends from abroad.

I can give you ideas on staging and music, readings and rituals.

Ceremonies With Jen

As an Independent Celebrant, I am not bound by any specific religion or formal building.

I offer couples choice over where they want their ceremony to take place and how it will look and feel. No need to stick to a script everybody has heard before which may not reflect who you are and how you want to celebrate your day.

I offer ceremonies for Weddings, Renewal of Vows, Namings, Funerals and Celebration of Life.

I'm based in East Sussex but travel to Kent, West Sussex and areas in South East England and beyond.

My French and Spanish languages skills may come in handy if you are considering a wedding in France or Spain!
